Overview
Choose a CHIHAI MOTOR 480-size brushed DC motor by its numbered configuration. The CHF-480A/WA range includes ferrite, N35/N35H and N52 magnet designs, multiple speed windings, and different end caps and cooling cases. A fitted pinion and spring are shown on the individual motor photos; the selection is one motor, not the multi-motor comparison set.
Features
- Ball-bearing construction, metal pinions and replaceable carbon-brush style rear assemblies.
- Enclosed, eight-hole and six-slot cooling cases vary by selection.
- Numbered configurations separate high-torque, medium-speed and high-speed choices.
- Electronic trigger/chip-control suitability varies; select a mechanical-switch configuration where indicated.

These ratio figures are application references for compatible 18:1 and16:1 hobby gearbox gear sets, not supplied reduction gears or a universal compatibility promise. No. 20 is not recommended for13–16:1 high-load ratios. No. 25 is not recommended below16:1. No. 26 is intended for suitable18–20:1/80% or100% rack applications; avoid an unsuitable21:1 setup. No. 27 requires a suitable90% or100% rack arrangement; an85% rack may lead to gear interference.
For the illustrated high-current M160 setup, use a genuine high-discharge battery: an18650 cell capable of at least20 A (30 A recommended), or a1200 mAh polymer pack rated25C or higher. Use an XT30 connector and at least1.0 mm² heat-resistant wiring for the associated wiring assembly. The higher-output N52/fast configurations can require stronger power delivery; No. 26 specifies high-discharge25C or above. These are application recommendations, not included battery or wiring accessories.
Check polarity at the motor terminals before connecting power. Use a correctly rated switch/controller, suitable fuse protection and a secure insulated installation. Avoid prolonged stall or overload. A motor marked for electronic control still needs a compatible controller; the motor itself does not include a control board.
Applications
Replacement or custom hobby gearbox drive assemblies that accept the selected480-size motor geometry, pinion and electrical load. T238/electronic-control and mechanical-switch suitability depends on the chosen configuration and matching gearbox; no universal drop-in fit is implied.
What's Included
One selected numbered motor in the configuration shown by its bound photo. A gearbox, battery, controller, connector and wiring assembly are not included.
FAQ
Can I select speed as a separate option?
Each speed, magnet and construction combination belongs to a fixed numbered motor. Choose the actual configuration; a separate voltage or speed combination is not manufactured by this listing.
Are all versions suitable for electronic control?
No. Nos.11,12,13,18,24 and26 recommend mechanical-switch operation; the remaining options are labelled for chip control, subject to matching controller and load.
