Compact planetary gear motor for controlled motion

The 36GP-555 combines a brushed DC motor with a metal planetary gearbox for machinery, automation projects and robotics. Choose a 12V or 24V motor, a no-load output speed from 11 to 1538 RPM, a 6 mm or 8 mm shaft, and the accessory package that suits your installation.

Choose your configuration

Voltage & No-Load Speed selects motor voltage and gearbox speed. Shaft Diameter selects 6 mm or 8 mm. Package determines which accessories are included. Listed RPM is the no-load speed at the selected rated voltage; speed decreases under load.

12V chart current: 0.5A no-load and 1.3A at the listed loaded operating point. 24V chart current: 0.26A no-load and 0.7A at the listed loaded operating point.

Installation and use

Select the gear ratio using the required loaded speed and torque. A larger reduction ratio provides lower speed and greater torque. Reducing speed electronically may reduce available torque. Do not overload the motor or operate it stalled: this can damage the motor or gears.

Use a power supply and controller appropriate for the selected voltage and operating current. Power-supply input range, plug type and controller specifications are not provided in the supplied material. Check these details before choosing an accessory package.
