Maximum permitted gearbox torque 3.0kgf.cm. Stall figures are not continuous operating ratings; avoid overload and prolonged stall. The Hall output reference is 7base pulses per motor revolution multiplied by the actual gear reduction. Fractional output references reflect actual gear ratios, not exactly the nominal selector labels; decoder edge-count conventions can differ.
Six-Wire Connection
| Wire | Function |
|---|---|
| Red | M 2, motor winding terminal |
| Black | Encoder VCC 3.3 V /5 V |
| Yellow | C 2 /B encoder output |
| Green | C 1 /A encoder output |
| Blue | Encoder GND |
| White | M 1, motor winding terminal |
This connector diagram is viewed from the marked direction. Black is encoder VCC and blue is encoder GND; do not substitute another motor's color code. Use 3.3 V or 5 V only for the encoder logic, and keep motor supply voltage away from the signal and logic-supply pins. Green/yellow carry A/B feedback. Verify connector orientation and compatible input levels before energizing.
Red M 2 and white M 1 are the motor terminals. The rear drawing marks M 2 negative and M 1 positive for its reference orientation. Swap only the M 1/M 2 motor polarity after stopping to reverse rotation; do not reverse the encoder VCC/GND connection. A motor driver, MCU, feedback processor and power supply are separate.
Mechanical Fit and Mounting Bracket
Check shaft tolerance, projection, mounting-hole spacing, screw engagement and rear encoder clearance before installation. Keep screws clear of the internal gear train. The GM 13/GM 16 bracket reference shows 25 mm width, approximately 19 mm front height, 1.2 mm thickness, a 4 mm center feature andtwo 2.2 mm holes 9 mm apart. The foot drawing includes slotted mounting positions, 6.5 mm/2.2 mm slot references, 3.85 mm/3.4 mm drawing features, 1.8 mm/2.3 mm offsets andR 1.5 corners. Verify the actual bracket and mounting pattern before machining a mating part.
Applications
Compact balancing-vehicle development, line-following robots, smart-home mechanisms, small robotic drives and camera-jib experiments where the selected speed, torque, shaft and feedback interface meet the design requirements. A complete vehicle, robot, camera rig or control system is not included.
What's Included
- Encoder Motor Only: one selected-voltage, selected-ratio motor with integrated Hall encoder and matching six-wire lead.
- Motor + Bracket: one selected motor/lead and one mounting bracket with the pictured mounting hardware.
A driver, power supply, controller, coupling and complete mechanism are not included. Configuration photos identify package contents, not a multi-motor bundle.
FAQ
Does the encoder use the 6 V or 12 V motor supply?
No. Black VCC needs 3.3 V or 5 V and blue is encoder ground. Red/white power the motor at the selected voltage.
Is 7PPR the gearbox output count?
It is the base motor-shaft pulse reference. Gearbox output pulses scale with actual reduction and the decoder convention.
Can I reverse the whole six-wire supply?
No. Reverse only M 1/M 2 after stopping. Encoder VCC/GND must retain correct polarity.
