Overview

Tiny:bit Pro AI visual robot car is a BBC micro:bit-based robot car that combines the Yahboom Tiny:bit car platform with a K210 vision module for AI visual recognition, creative expansion, and autopilot-style scene interaction. It integrates multiple onboard sensors (infrared sensor, ultrasonic module, sound sensor) plus a buzzer and RGB lighting effects, enabling functions such as obstacle avoidance, following, and “singing” via MakeCode graphical programming. With the K210 module, it can capture HD images to support machine learning, image recognition, color detection, and target tracking.

Key Features

  • For BBC micro:bit; compatible with both old and new versions micro:bit board: Micro:bit V2 board (default) and Micro:bit V1 board (compatible with).
  • Adjustable bracket allows the camera angle on the K210 module to be freely adjusted.
  • Dual programming workflow: robot car uses MakeCode graphical programming; K210 vision module uses MicroPython.
  • Basic functions: infrared tracking, ultrasonic obstacle avoidance (distance measurement), buzzer singing, sound detection, RGB lighting effect.
  • Supports remote control: Android/iOS app remote control; infrared remote control (standard); micro:bit handle remote control (purchased separately).

  • Barcode identify / barcode recognition (micro:bit displays barcode content; searchlight turns green when recognized, red when not recognized)
  • QR code recognition (recognizes QR code information and performs actions based on the QR code content)

  • Object recognition (micro:bit dot matrix can display the corresponding object ID)
  • Face recognition (micro:bit LED dot matrix displays different face serial numbers and plays different music)
  • Mask warning (detects whether a face is wearing a mask; buzzer can send out a warning when not wearing a mask)
  • Road sign recognition
  • Number recognition / digital identification (recognizes handwritten numbers and triggers preset actions)
  • Visual inspection line / visual tracking color line
  • Autonomous learning classification (supports a simple autonomous training classification process by recording 5 pictures)

Configuration Options

  • Tiny:bit Pro Standard Kit: smaller size, higher energy; supports various AI visual recognition and basic functions.
  • Tiny:bit Pro Expansion Kit: adds an autopilot map to complete autopilot-style scene operation in combination with the map/props.

Note: If a Micro:bit V2 board is not available, select the configuration that includes a micro:bit board.
