CUAV X7 + Flight Controller Description
The X7+ Flight Controller is enhanced with a new sensor lineup, featuring the powerful STM32H743 Processor, ICM-42688-P accelerometer and gyroscope, and RM3100 industrial compass for superior navigation and stability in flight control systems.
H7 Processor Powerfull Performance
The X7+ autopilot harnesses the STM32H743 series processor, featuring a Cortex-M7 core equipped with a double precision Floating-Point Unit (FPU), propelling its operating frequency to an impressive 480MHz. With 2MB Flash and 1MB RAM, it meets the demanding computational needs of advanced flight controllers. Compared to the STM32F7 line, the STM32H7 offers double the dynamic power consumption efficiency, ensuring powerful performance for complex flight operations.
The sensor suite of the flight controller has received a significant upgrade with the addition of the ICM-42688-P sensor. This upgrade marks a substantial improvement over traditional consumer IMUs, with a 40% reduction in noise figure and a doubling of temperature stability. Such enhancements ensure that the flight controller maintains the highest measurement accuracy, even amidst temperature fluctuations, emphasizing the commitment to reliability and performance in varying environmental conditions.
The flight controller features a sensor redundancy design with three sets of accelerometers and gyroscopes, including the ICM-20689 and ICM-42688-P models. This design allows for real-time monitoring of multiple sensor data, enabling the system to instantly switch to a backup sensor in the event of a failure. This redundancy enhances flight safety and stability, ensuring continuous, reliable operation even in challenging conditions.

For firmware building, it utilizes the DSU7 port for serial console and SWD interface connections, compatible with the CUAV FTDI cable for straightforward debugging through a computer's USB port. Moreover, the X7+ supports triple redundancy in its power supply when connected to three sources, ensuring operational reliability.
